How to Get a Bigger Bag in Shorter Time!

There are many Medical Staffing agencies and I have had my ups and downs. I have worked with almost every travel staffing agency out there and there are only a select few that I would care to return to but that is a whole other discussion for a later date.

The travel journey began with my very first strike assignment in  Bayonne, New Jersey in early 2010. Now before I get into the travel journey allow me to explain what Strike Travel is.

Strike Travel- A 10 day notice is provided from the union and staff that they will walkout and will strike for a period of days until agreement has been met. The facility will outsource credentialed medical professionals to provide care to patients while negotiations take place.

How long will I be away from home?

Once 10 day notice has been received by the attending company the length of the commitment will be included in the contract agreement or self submission portal. Strikes can be 5 day commitment to open-ended or without an end date either way you must fulfill your agreement that you agree to stay.

Do I pay for Travel room and Board?

During these strike events the company that will be providing the specialist will take care of 100% of your travel. All bags that you bring with you are responsible for which is around $30.00 USD depending on the airline you are flying through. I do recommend having some travel money for the first day or so being that you may not receive your first paycheck the first day you arrive to the strike assignment. Other than that traveling with the strike team can be used for a paid travel vacation if you do it right.

What is the Pay?

The pay rates vary ranging from $50.00 per hour to $200.00 per hour depending on your specialty. And you do not have to be a nurse to be sort of these strikes. Strikes can be staffed for Evs, CNA, MA, ED Tech and hospital house keeping. No matter your speciality there is something for you.

A daily stipend is also provided which is usually around $50.00 per day. Depending on the location of the work dispute you may qualify for daily pay in states like California where the labor laws are more monitored. For example, California law is any hours worked after 8 hours a day is considered time and a half. If the employee works more than 12 hours it is considered overtime. Who would not like having Daily Pay of over 1500.00 a day? I know I enjoy every single minute of it. I have made $5,000.00 weekly to 6800.00 weekly with most companies offering a 60 hour work week guarantee which always got me that quick bag I was so addicted too. With daily or weekly pay and free travel to and from home plus free lodging you cant loose.

How can I apply to strike companies?

Ever made your entire month salary in just five days? How is this even possible? Well I am here to tell you I do it and I freaking love it! Google has been my best friend and I have trusted the process for over 13 years. I have a list of favorite companies I am willing to share with everyone there are just a few stipulations to this what I like to call “FREE GAME”. Are you certified to work in the medical field? If so what is your specialty? Have you traveled prior? Are you comfortable being away from home for unknown amounts of time? Do you like change? Are you willing to learn? If you answered "No" to any of these questions then traveling or strike assignments are not for you.

I am always here for those that are ready to take on this travel world without fear and I look forward to connecting all of you to the Bigger Travel Bag in shorter time than your average monthly salary. Be all the way real with yourself first. "  What Kind of Traveler Are You?'

Happy Travels,
